Good to know
- Socket cut-outs suit 13 A sockets (BS 1363 / MS 589) on standard flush back boxes: 76 x 76 mm for a single, 136 x 76 mm for a double. The faceplate covers the cut edge.
- The back boxes must sit flush with the wall. You may need longer faceplate screws to reach through the panel.
- Fixings run along the top and bottom edges. Use a panel adhesive as well on large panels.
- Welded studs go on the back of the panel, so nothing shows on the front. On thin sheet we check first that the welds won't mark the finish.
- Countersunk holes need thicker sheet than most splashbacks; we tell you if your gauge is too thin.
